About this service
Microblading uses a fine handheld tool to place delicate, hair-like strokes into the skin, mimicking real brow hairs for a soft and natural finish. It’s the most natural of our brow services and is best for clients with normal to dry skin.
Microblading is a two-step process. Your first appointment builds the foundation, and a perfecting session 6–8 weeks later adds fullness and makes your strokes look three-dimensional. (The perfecting session is booked separately.)
Every brow is custom designed for your face. After numbing, consultation and mapping, the procedure itself takes about 50 minutes. The rest of your visit is for paperwork, numbing, shape design and your questions, so you leave confident and informed.

Do I get to choose my brow shape?
Your shape is designed with five key measurements based on your face shape and bone structure. LaJoy will not begin until you approve the outlined shape.
Does it hurt?
Your comfort matters. A topical numbing agent is applied during your procedure, and most clients rate it about a 3 out of 10.
Why do I need a perfecting session?
Strokes placed too close together blur into a hazy shadow as they heal. LaJoy applies your first strokes moderately, lets them heal for 6–8 weeks, then adds pigment for fullness and dimension. After that, you won't need to return for at least 18 months.
I have oily skin. Is microblading right for me?
Microblading is the least ideal choice for oily skin, because the only pigment is inside each stroke and strokes can fade. Ombré Powder Brows or Combo Brows hold pigment better for oily skin.
